Niantic has recently announced the next "Pokemon Go" in-game event. It will feature the Rock-type Pokemons, which will show up more often in the game world, and it will also feature great bonuses for fans to try out.

"Pokemon Go" In-Game Event Starts Soon

Niantic has recently announced that the next "Pokemon Go" in-game event will be happening soon. The Adventure Week event will start on May 18 at 1 PM PT, and this will make Rock-type Pokemons appear more often in the gaming world. The event will end on May 25 at 1 PM PT, Gamespot reported.

"Pokemon Go" Creatures To Catch During Event

"Pokemon go" players will be able to catch Rock-type Pokemons during the Adventure Week event. These creatures will include Kabuto, Omanyte, Sudowoodo, Aerodactyl and Onix, and their evolved forms as well.

The event will also add more items to the PokeStops, while a Buddy Pokemon will receive Candy after walking just one quarter of its needed normal distance. Adventurer's Hat has also been added to the customization option for the players' avatars, which all will get for free. There will also be a 50 percent discount off the Pokeballs in the store, and the buddy Pokemon will now find candies four times faster than its normal rate.

The Adventure Week event will be a real event unlike the Worldwide Bloom event that happened a few weeks ago. It only ran for a short while and it did not give a lot of other bonuses for players to take advantage of.

Pokemon Company Now Working On New Card Game

In other "Pokemon" related news, the Pokemon Company is currently working on a new card game for the mobile phones. The game company is already making physical cards that fans collect and use in official competitions, The Wall Street Journal reported.

An online version of its collectible trading card game was already offered by the Pokemon Company, but this was only available on PC, Mac, Android and Apple tablets. Due to the success of "Pokemon Go," it makes sense that the game company would want their other games to be ported to the mobile phone platforms.
