"BloodStained: Ritual of the Night" acquires new characters in the latest development update. It was also announced recently that the game will be now on Nintendo Switch.

Three new characters

Koji Igarashi has revealed on the official Kickstarter page of "Bloodstained" three new characters and their details. These three new characters are Dominique, Alfred, and Anne. He also revealed that he still needs to decide on voice characters for the characters they are creating.

Dominique Baldwin is 25 years old, and an exorcist dispatched by the church. She is currently supporting Miriam, the main protagonist, as the shopkeeper in the video game. She speaks in a posh way, but she treats everyone equally and kindly.

Dominique trusts Miriam and Gebel as human beings, despite the church believing them to be evil demons. She asks her old friend Johannes to summon Miriam in order to stop Gebel's plans.

Alfred is 57 years old, and he is one of the alchemists responsible for the demon-summoning incident that happened 10 years ago. The one who taught Johannes in the arts of summoning was him, and he is looked upon both Johannes and Miriam as a father figure. He is currently going to the castle seeking the Book of Logaeth that Gebel possesses right now.

Anne Knolles is 12 years old, and a village girl whose parents were killed. She was saved by Dominique and Miriam when the demons attacked the village she lived in. She is also the one who takes over the shop when Dominique is out of town.

Development on backer rewards

The development team is currently working on parts of the video game that were available as backer rewards, like the weapon and enemy designs. He was worried that some of the backers who backed at the pet and weapon design tiers have never responded to their e-mails, but it may be possible that the e-mails did not reach them. He is asking them to contact them again as soon as possible.

"Bloodstained" coming to Nintendo Switch

After the announcement of the Nintendo Switch, Igarashi and his team decided that they will release "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" on the console. According to another post on the official Kickstarter page of the game, they will be ditching the Wii U version. They will prepare options for their backers that will cater those who wanted the Wii U version, like transferring it to another version, or request a refund if they do not want any other version.
