Watch Out PS4! Xbox One streaming app is now available on the Oculus Rift, allowing players to simulate games in a virtual environment. Microsoft this week released the Xbox streaming app to the Oculus Store.

The new streaming app was first introduced in June last year, but it takes the streaming app almost 18 months to get a slot in the Oculus Store as a free downloadable app. With this, Oculus Rift owners can now stream games directly from their Xbox One gaming console to the Oculus Rift on Windows 10. For example, if a user is playing "Call of Duty" game on their Xbox One console, the player can now stream it to the Oculus Rift to experience it in a virtual environment.

According to The Verge, the new streaming app will allow players to play their console games using a VR headset. The new feature works similar with the Windows 10 version of Xbox streaming, game streaming will start the game on the Xbox One console and stream gameplay over the home network to the Oculus Rift in a dedicated Xbox streaming app.

Additionally, the software giant has also added some features that allow the users to open the Xbox One guide and control the orientation of games in the virtual environment. The Xbox streaming app is now available for download in the Oculus Store.

In addition to the streaming app, Dropbox is also coming on Xbox console, making it the first web-based storage provider to do so. The newly launched Dropbox app, according to TechCrunch, will allow Xbox users to view and share their files and even stream their files and photos right to their TVs. This also means that users will now be able to stream their videos from Dropbox via Xbox One, without having to download a software locally.

The user can also able to use different third-party applications, like for example VLC, to access their Dropbox files on Xbox One machine, as well as upload files to Dropbox via USB sticks. The Dropbox's Windows app for Xbox is currently available for download free at the Microsoft Xbox Store.

With the Dropbox app, Kinect owners can enjoy expanded Dropbox functionality, as the universal app can be used to upload Kinect screenshots during gameplay. This may sound great for most of most Xbox gamers.

In addition to the ability to access the Xbox One's internal hard drive, the Dropbox app also supports a wide range of external storage solutions, which the hard drives, the USB stick, and other universal Windows-based apps.

Released in 2007, Dropbox is a popular cloud-based file hosting service that offers a wide range of cloud solutions, including cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software. The service allows also users to back up and retrieve files using a variety of supported devices.
