In a bid to address a slew of complaints it received in the past week, Niantic has rolled out a new update for the iOS version of "Pokemon Go," taking the version number of the hit augmented reality game up to 1.01.

The 153 MB new update patch does not add any new features as its solely intended to stabilize the game so that players can leave behind their worries about the game crashing. The update lays emphasis on enhancing the account process for users, in addition to addressing the issue related to the Google full account access scope.

But that's not all. With the new update, users will no longer have to re-enter their credentials after they've been forcibly logged out. Moreover, the update is also expected to fix issues related to crashes, 9To5Mac reported.

If some posts on Reddit forum are anything to go by, several iOS users are unable to log into the game after downloading the v1.0.1 update.

Apparently, users attempting to connect with Niantic Labs servers through Pokemon Trainer Club accounts are facing issues while trying to log in. Surprisingly, players using Google account to log in are able to load the game without facing any sort of log in issue, TheTimesOfIndia reported.

The publication recommends "Pokemon Go" users on iOS who use Pokemon Trainer Club accounts to log in, to not update the app for now.

Niantic, however has opted to remain mum regarding the purported bug and have not made any comment on it so far. Nevertheless, the changelog in the App Store suggests that Niantic Labs has taken care of issues that caused crashes, and fixed Google account scope with the recently-released v1.0.1 update.

Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke has divulged the studio's plan to continue updating the game on a bi-weekly basis. Besides, they are also working on battery usage and on the hit AR game's GPS.

Hanke recently opened up about the game's future plans, revealing that "Pokemon Go" will soon treat players with deeper gameplay and the ability to interact with other players. They will be able to trade their Pokemons with strangers and friends alike. New ways to play with Gyms and Pokestops will be introduced in addition to a global leaderboard.

Some of the top features players want to see include the ability to trade Pokemon with other players and PvP combat. The AR game is no-doubt a huge hit already, but with the addition of these fan-favorite features, it can reach a whole new level.

"Pokemon Go" is up for grabs in New Zealand, USA and Australia, but is expected to hit the shelves in more countries as soon as Niantic make the servers more manageable. If there's any truth to several reports doing rounds right now, the servers are still kind of erratic.
