As iPhone nears its 10th-year anniversary since its debur in the mobile market last 2007, rumors stars spreading out about the presumed iPhone 8 which will be the major flagship of tech giant Apple on its celebratory year 2017.

The Cupertino-based company is known to re-introduce its handset design every two years, but reports advocate the idea that 2017 will be the first time the iPhone will be seen in a major aesthetic overhaul for iPhone 8.  Just a month ago, tech expert John Gruber observed that Apple is likely to skip their 'S' moniker with their 2017 offering and that the iPhone 8 would be released with an edgeless display.

OLED (organic light-emitting diode) edgeless display will come into the future iPhone 8, TheWallStreetJournal reported. Additionally, the home button with fingerprint sensor will not exist as a physical lot in the new phone design, but be included within the area of the display itself. In a meeting with Apple in China last May, it was clarified that the only reason the edgeless screens probably did not make it to the upcoming iPhone 7 due to the unavailability of the parts by the time of manufacturing.

Curved Glass: iPhone 8's Biggest Aesthetic Overhaul

iPhone 8's biggest visual modification is the curved all-glass edifice of the handset which will be seen as the tenth anniversary iPhone 2017, Forbes wrote. Curved may sound interesting and chic, considering Samsung's  Note Edge, but there are more to consider, as Seth Golden commented in Seeking Alpha's Deep Dive:

There was only a singular aspect that could or would have prevented Apple from developing and launching this all-glass concept some years ago and it all comes down to dollars and cents. If we are asked to accept the notion that Apple is a leader of technological aesthetic implementation or form factor as its proponents would have one believe, then certainly an all-glass smartphone would validate the claim or at least reinforce the claim, Golden added.

But Apple hasn't continued down this road for the stated reason of costs. The curving of glass is a careful consideration of a cumbersome and costly process. How's that for a perfectly positioned alliteration of profound precision? But I digress.
