Galaxy S8, iPhone 8 Destruction: Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 6 Plus Will Counter 2017 Flagship Smartphones

By

Xiaomi, a known competitor of Apple and Samsung, is set to release flagship smartphones Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. Both devices showcase impeccable specs and features that suffice to counter the 2017 flagship smartphones from the company's biggest rival the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8.

Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 6 Plus Leaked Information

Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus' retail box has reportedly leaked online in which tons of new details about the new smartphones have been revealed. This new information is said to contradict few rumors about the smartphones such as the dual-camera setup.

The leaked information suggest a 30-megapixel rear camera which is said to be specially developed by Xiaomi to challenge the latest offerings from rivals. Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus' camera specs are higher than the recently released Redmi 4A which only features a 13-megapixel rear end shooter and 5-megapixel front camera, BGR reported.

In line with the previous reports, Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Regular Mi 6 will sport a 5.15-inch full HD display while the Plus variant is boasting a 5.7-inch screen.

While both devices will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the basic model is fueled by a 4000 mAh battery which is lower than the Plus variant with 4500 mAh. Xiaomi also plans to release Mi 6 with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, Android Headlines reported.

Xiaomi Dominates International Markets

Xiaomi's smartphones are known for having lower price range but offer premium experience. For this reason, the Chinese tech giant is reportedly dominating the international markets and emerging ones like India, China and other parts of Asia.

In relation to that, Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus will take on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus as well as Apple iPhone 8. The brand's established strong presence suggest certain challenges both to Samsung and Apple.
