iPhone 6 Battery Defects Resonate Galaxy Note 7 Nightmare; New Potential Battery Risk Reportedly Found in iPhone 8

By

iPhone 6 battery issues are assumed to be caused by two factors, the hardware and software; however, the users fear that the persistent shutting down of the phone could lead to a Galaxy Note 7 kind-of debacle. Also, iPhone 8 production is reportedly halted by the newly found potential battery risk.

iPhone 6 Automatic Shutdown Suggests Software and Hardware Problem

Several complains about automatically shutting down iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6/s Plus have surfaced the internet recently where most of the users feared that it could lead to the same problem with Galaxy Note 7. To address the panicking public, Apple issued a statement advising the affected owners to download the iOS 10.2.1 because the problem strongly suggests a software-related issue, MacWorld reported.

The suggestion seems effective because as per Apple's recent statement, 80 percent of iPhone 6s and 70 percent of iPhone 6 have reportedly resolved because of the bug fixes brought about the latest beta version of iOS 10. On the other hand, in some cases, faulty battery is the main culprit of the shutting down incidence.

Larger Battery Capacity Spells Risk for iPhone 8

Ming-Chi Kou's prediction about iPhone 8's battery capacity has spark concern from the netizens. According to Mac Rumors, the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 is said to host a battery that is designed for a 5.5-inch smartphone which suggest a big risk that entails similarly to Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.

However, Apple has reportedly learned from the mistake of Samsung by ensuring that proper safety measures are strictly followed during the manufacturing process. A "stacked logic board design" is use to create layers of stacked miniaturize generic hardware parts thus, freeing up some space to accommodate the large battery.

Through this method, the battery pack will be embedded in its L-Shaped dedicated slot at the back of iPhone 8. The new iPhone is reportedly using an OLED screen display, thus, larger battery is required to supply power to the revolutionary phone of 2017.
