Apple's celebration of iPhone's 10th anniversary is reportedly just around the corner and rumors about the presumed iPhone 8 have slowly dominating the internet. Here's the good news and bad news that everyone needs to know about Apple 2017 flagship smartphone.

Good News

Apple is reportedly doing away with all-metal body because iPhone 8 is said to sport a similar aesthetic to iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s which exhibit an all-glass body. According to Business Insider, Apple is likely to ditch out the metal back design and embraced the all-glass with metal frame.

For the display, Apple is said to start utilizing AMOLED display just like Samsung did on their current flagship smartphones. If this could happen, iPhone 8 will be the first iPhone to exhibit such technology and display while doing away with the LCD which is used in iPhone 7 and older devices.

Another feature of iPhone 8 to watch out for is the wireless charging support in which Apple Is currently working on. According to Apple Spokesperson, the Cupertino-based tech firm has joined the Wireless Power Consortium, a group the focuses on developing wireless charging standard.

Facial recognition has taken into the next level with iPhone 8 because of its integrated laser sensor. In this manner, security has been muscled up through the new scheme embedded in the facial/gesture recognition functionality.

Bad News  

The removal of Touch ID sensor which is originally found in iPhone 7 tops the list of bad news about the iPhone 8. According to Forbes, this functionality is said to be replaced with a front-facing 3D laser scanner for facial recognition which is considered to be more secure and more reliable most especially in wet conditions.

Another bad news about the upcoming iPhone 8 is the removal of headphone jack which was started by Apple in iPhone 7. On the other hand, the price of special 10th anniversary edition of iPhone is reportedly starts in the amount of $1,000 which completes the disadvantages list.
