'Titanfall 2': See Gameplay On Multiplayer Mode Reveal; When Will It Release

By

Prior to its release, Respawn Entertainment said that "Titanfall 2" will get its fair share of free updates to its multiplayer suite. Now, they just released a new trailer showing the new multiplayer mode Live Fire. Let's get to know more about it.

"Titanfall 2"Live Fire Mode

According to True AchievementsLive Fire is a 6v6 game mode that's basically capture the flag (CTF), although the maps are especially tight and there are no Titans. This means, players will constantly be in battle, fighting over the flag and you will need to use your mobility to its fullest effect to complete the objective.

"Titanfall 2" has a current map rotation that naturally supports this kind of gameplay, so Respawn has followed up the new mode with two new maps designed especially for it: Stacks and Meadow. Both can be seen, as well as the game mode, in the video below.

"Titanfall 2" was No. 9 in 2016's Games of the Year

"Titanfall 2" was part of 2016's Games of the Year and has been likened to "Half-Life 2" a lot. Unexpectedly, "Titanfall 2" brought some players back to the time of "Half-Life 2", thanks to developer Respawn's approach to designing a single-player campaign made up of what it described as action blocks. It's a sort of a game jam-style move to initiate fun diversions and then sew them together into a full game.

Comparing "Titanfall 2" to a 10-year-old first-person shooter, even one as respected as "Half-Life 2", may seem like like indirect flattery. Yet, Respawn's focus on gameplay-first set pieces and other design counterparts in both games present pleasant giant robots and end purgatively by giving the player an exceptionally overpowered weapon. This should give nostalgic feelings for a different era of shooter.

Excited for the update? Stay tuned, as the Live Fire mode for "Titanfall 2" has no release date yet.
