'Deus Ex: Breach' Now Free On Steam; 'A Criminal Past' DLC Drops Next Month

By

"Deus Ex" fans, rejoice. There are two free games available from Steam, namely "Deus Ex: Breach" and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - VR Experience".

"Deus Ex: Breach"

According to GameSpot, "Deus Ex: Breach " is a standalone version of Breach mode from last year's "Mankind Divided" release. This is the exact same content you will find in "Mankind Divided". Although this version purely acts as an option for the game to be played without owning "Mankind Divided" or without having to open it.

Since "Deus Ex: Breach" is free, you will earn credits as you play, which you can use to purchase booster packs. Now, these packs will provide a random variety of four items. On the other hand, the player can use real money to buy booster packs, as well as premium skins and weapons. Developer Eidos Montreal maintains that this is optional.

"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - VR Experience"
In addition to "Deus Ex: Breach ", "Mankind Divided VR Experience" was released on Steam as well. This free download allows players to explore four of the game's environments with an Oculus Rift or Vive VR headset.

"Deus Ex: A Criminal Past"
Meanwhile, a new DLC is coming out next month called "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - A Criminal Past". According to the "Deus Ex" official site, Adam Jensen will be back in the new DLC and will make players experience his initial missions for TF29. Some of them were even set before the events of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided".

Here, Jensen will be taken into a vicious, high-security prison for augmented criminals. He needs to find and retreive classified data from a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Being able to accomplish his mission will help with the battle against terror around the world but Jensen needs to face a darker side to himself before everything else.

Which "Deus Ex" title are you playing and which is your favorite so far? Have you tried "Deus Ex: Breach" and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - VR Experience" on Steam?
