‘Veep’ Season 6 First Episode Airing Date Revealed; Fund Raising Campaign Offers Free Trip To L.A. & Meet ‘Veep’ Stars

HBO's modern comedy classic "Veep" Season 6 first episode may be airing in April. This was confirmed through a tweet by "Veep" showrunner David Mandel. Fans have long been waiting for the airing of the sixth season since the comedy classic has proved to be one of the funniest shows on television and political shows every produced.

According to actor Tony Hale, Season 6 will be chaotic and focus on Selina Meyer's life after losing the White House, HBO Binge reported. He added that it is not going to be pretty. Aside from seeing Meyer's next stage of her political career, the season will also add her quest for relevancy.

Meanwhile, buzzing online are speculations that a new character will be introduced in Season 6. "Blunt Talk" actress Mary Holland is said to have been tapped to play a high-powered political fundraiser for a season-long arc, Asia Staz has learned. It is not clear whether she is set to become Meyer's new friend or foe in the political arena. Nevetheless, she will spice things up in the sixth season.

According to sources, fans should be expecting hilarity into the newest level for "Veep's" Season 6 as it will still be under showrunner Mandel, who just made the classic comedy won an Emmy for Best Comedy beating "Modern Family" breaking the five-year reign of ABC.

On the other hand, Sam Richardson and Matt Walsh, who play Richard Splett and press secretary Mike McLintock, released a video launching a brand new campaign on the fundraising platform Omaze to support the Los Angeles High School. The fundraising urged fans to donate for as little as $10 donation.

In return, fans will have the chance to meet "Veep" Richardson and Walsh and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of an episode. They also entice fans to a meet-and-greet and photo opportunities with some of the cast. Those who will win will be given free flights to L.A. and guaranteed to be staying in a 4-star hotel.
