Climax Reveals ‘Surf World Series’ A New Game for Surfer Wannabes

Good news for surfer wannabes who would want to try the exciting and thrilling world of surfing though not in the real surfing spot but in PS4, Xbox One and PC platform. Due in 2017, Climax Studios will let players ride the waves of the world's top five surfing spots, including Hawaii and Portugal, through its new game "World Surf Series".

Though surfing videogames are a little bit underrated, the "World Surf Series" promises thrill of pure arcade-style surfing on monster waves from around the five legendary surfing destinations. Players will learn an array of tricks, simple kickflips to massive aerials, and put them to use through 45 single-player challenges and online play against up to 15 other surfer digi-dudes, PC Gamer has learned.

In its official website, it enticed surfer fans to create their unique styles in surfing while performing some of surfing's most intense and original tricks, including the Superman and Sushi Roll, against a backdrop of stunning horizons, golden coastlines and surging waves. In a blog posted by the games' producer, Jamie Fisher, he emphasized that the wave system of the "Surf World Series" was not only customized to look and feel stellar but also to behave as naturally as possible.

Players can choose 6 playable characters that canbe customized in a thousand ways, thus giving players the freedom to design their own style and stand out with its own signature surfer and skillset. As the game progresses, countless of classic and original designs will be unlocked such as wetsuits, boards and patterns.

Simon Gardner, CEO developer of Climax Studios pointed out that since surfing is an amazing sport that has been underrepresented in games for some time, they wanted to bring surfing fans a fun, arcade-style experience that's all about mastering waves and racking up huge high scores. He added that the "World Surf Series" is a celebration of harmonious moments when board and wave work together.

Now, a surfer fan will no longer have to go to a real surfing spot to try a surfing experience as this new game from Climax Studios is offering.
