‘Avengers: Infinity War’ News: Bucky Barnes Picks Up The Shield; Who Will Die In The Battle With Thanos? [Video]

The "Avengers: Infinity War" will be debuting Bucky Barnes or the Winter Soldier as the newest Captain America. Moreover, the movie features the epic battle with the mighty galactic being Thanos, prompting fans to ask who will die among the 67 characters included in the movie.

The "Avengers: Infinity War" part 1 is believed to be the biggest, most epic and big-budget movie that Marvel will make. The "Captain America: Civil War" already featured a stellar cast led by Robert Downey Jr. as iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow, to name just a few.

It seems that Marvel fans will finally see just how big the Marvel Cinematic Universe can become with the "Avengers: Infinity War." There is also an untitled Avengers movie dubbed as part 2, but directors Anthony and Joe Russo reveals that the sequel will be "very very different" from the first, Digital Spy has learned.

Though Marvel has made no official announcements of the "Avengers: Infinity War" cast, rumors are circulating as to which superheroes will most likely appear in the movie. These rumors are taken from cast interviews, pictures shared in social media and even from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige himself.

Downey, Evans, and Johansson have already been confirmed and they will be joined by Josh Brolin (Thanos), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch/Wanda), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), and the rest of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" ensemble according to Cinema Blend.

The list is extensive with as much as 67 characters including the Illuminati, a group of powerful superheroes who like to meddle on other people's affairs. The Illuminati is derived from a story in the comic books, which is the source material for the "Avengers: Infinity War."

Speaking of comic books, there is also the rumor that Bucky Barnes will be picking Captain America's shield that Steve Rogers has dropped following his fall out with the Avengers in "Captain America: Civil War."

This is not surprising because Bucky will take over as the new Captain America in the comic books along with Sam Wilson who will also have his short stint as Cap. This could mean that Evans' character may be one of the fatalities in the epic battle with Thanos. It could also be Tony Stark since there will be no more "Iron Man" 4 or Don Cheadle's War Machine if rumors were to be believed. With such a huge ensemble of superheroes, it will hardly leave the protagonists at a disadvantage.

The "Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released in the United Kingdom on April 27, 2018 and in the United States on May 4, 2018.
