The Chinese tech giant reportedly turned down Google due to the fact that the search giant insisted that their brand name should be the only one to be spotted on the Pixel smartphones. When Huawei execs heard that their logo wouldn't be on the Google phones, Huawei turned Google down, according to GSM Arena.

That being the case, the release date and price of the forthcoming Google Nexus 7 are still mysteries. The cost of the device will most likely be clarified once the specs are unveiled.
