Google Nexus 7 Release Date, News: 2016 Release Unlikely To Happen After Huawei Declined Google’s Offer [VIDEO]

By

2016 is almost over, and Google has not thrown in any details about the Nexus 7. Tech enthusiasts are now speculating if the sought after device would come out before this year ends.

Previously, it has been speculated that Google's new Android tablet might roll out just in time for the Christmas holidays since the tech giant failed to announce the Nexus 7 in October. Even so, there were also reports that claimed the Nexus 7 is hardly possible to be available this year, for the reason that Google remains silent about the device, and there hasn't been any single leaked photo that surface online.

Anyway, it has been said that the Chinese tech company Huawei would build the new 2016 Nexus phones for Google following the favorable outcome of Nexus 6P. In spite of that, with the recent reports pumping up the internet, Huawei has declined to make devices for Google anymore, since the American tech giant wants a manufacturer that would remove their names from the device's design and branding.

The Chinese tech giant reportedly turned down Google due to the fact that the search giant insisted that their brand name should be the only one to be spotted on the Pixel smartphones. When Huawei execs heard that their logo wouldn't be on the Google phones, Huawei turned Google down, according to GSM Arena.

That being the case, the release date and price of the forthcoming Google Nexus 7 are still mysteries. The cost of the device will most likely be clarified once the specs are unveiled. At the moment, it will be difficult to point out what price range the Nexus 7 will be falling in, Opp Trends has learned.

As for the release date, the latest rumors are suggesting that it may actually be coming just before 2016 ends. It will be a good time for a device to launch as it corresponds with the holiday shopping season.
