There is a good news brewing for iPad Air loyal fans. Apple's best tablet is likely to come back in a new variant called iPad Air 3 with refreshed features and specs, according to Mac Rumors.

As the rumor mills started to grind for the upcoming iPad Air 3, the following features are likely to land in the new device: sleeker and slimmer design, more color options, borrowed camera features from iPhone 7 such as the dual-lens, high-definition 4K screen display, 3D Touch and Apple Pencil support. On the other hand, iPad Air 3 is also likely to have the following specs: 64GB internal storage capacity, A10X processor for faster performance and high-resolution display.

It is believed that iPad Air 3 lineup will feature a smart keyboard cover that can be connected to a smart connector. According to Mac World, Through this new scheme, the keyboard's cover could possibly be rechargeable through absorbing power from the device's battery.

As predicted by KGI Analyst Ming-Chi Kou, Apple is heading towards launching three new iPads in 2017 that falls most specifically in the month March. Among the new variants reported, the 9.7-inch iPad is believed to be the new iPad Air 3.
