Snapchat Steals Like An Artist; Copies Instagram Story Rewinds [VIDEO]

By

Instagram copied from Snapchat and now the latter just returned the favor. It is unclear whether the two are in connivance with each other or their rivalry just got too intense that they have killed creativity and originality. Either way, users have gone crazy over the added awesome features.

Three weeks ago Instagram stole Snapchat Stories and it boosted the number of users as reports had it that over 100 million people are now on the app, The Verge reported.  It's a huge success especially that Instagram added a feature that would be beneficial for users - the feature that allows users to rewind stories, the Instagram Story Rewinds. Now Snapchat lets its sers choose between "next snap" or "go back" too.

The copied feature basically allows users tap the left side of a snap so that it can return to the previous one. Snapchat decides it can do as Instagram does and adds the new feature on their story. But of course, it comes with a little tweak.

It includes World Lenses, a cool new feature that changes surroundings, Tech Crunch reported. This allows users add rain clouds puking rainbows if you point your camera to the sky.

There are seven other environment augmenting features. Snapchat said it will help create a more colorful world; decorating it with animations through a person's phone camera.

Moreover, the new feature allows users to stalk people in a non-intrusive/creepy way because one can finally watch and rewatch snaps without notifying the sender. It can also add filter to anything; not just on selfies. It's basically everything users have been waiting for - an essential tool that lets one have more fun, because really, that is what the social media is for.

The downside to this is everyone's snap will not be longer than 10 seconds. The Snapchat rewind story feature can only be activated once the version is updated. Users are advised to update now before the features will disappear.
