MacBook Pro 2016 News & Update: Apple Drops Iconic Startup Chime; MacBook Pro 2016 Disappoints Tech Fans [VIDEO]

By

It has been a fixture of the Apple product line to change drastically since 1998, however, there's one thing remained the same, the chime that signals a person's computer is booting up. But, with the latest MacBook Pro, Apple dropped the distinctive startup chime.

The change was first noticed when a specific FAQ page for Apple's latest MacBook Pro didn't longer mention the sound, and confirmed the disappearance of the F-sharp major startup chime on a working version of the laptop.

The startup chime used to indicate that there were no issues with a person's machine when starting up. The removal of the chime may make diagnosing technical issues with the latest MacBook Pros a little harder, but it should also stop individuals from making loud noises in meeting rooms, classrooms, as well as other public places, The Verge reported.

In spite of that, the startup chime was created by Jim Reekes, who played the sound on a Korg synthesizer. Reekes said that the original chord was inspired by the final chord in "A Day In The Life" by The Beatles, Telegraph has learned.

That being said, the new MacBook Pro looks to be a wonderful laptop, but a lot of tech fans are not impressed with the device. As the name Pro literally means professional, but there are some concerns from that segment.

For instance, some photographers will be very disgusted by the lack of an SD card slot. The machine maxes out at 16 gigabyte of RAM, while many pro users want 32 gigabyte or more, which is not possible on the new machine. Because of these disappointments, Apple loyalists might turn to a Windows devices, while some are turning into an unexpected Linux machine, Beta News reported.

Anyway, Apple's latest 15-inch MacBook Pro has an NVMe 256 gigabyte SSD, and a Radeon Pro 450 with a paltry 2 gigabyte memory.
