‘The Last Guardian' Release Date, News: Sony's Shuhei Yoshida Confirmed Video Game's Completion On Twitter [VIDEO]

The upcoming video game developed by genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio, "The Last Guardian," has finally gone gold. Sony's Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the highly anticipated video game's completion on Twitter, sending players and fans into a frenzy.

"The Last Guardian" was slated for an Oct. 25 release date, but the video game developer decided to move it to Dec. 6. The decision to delay the video game came from the fact that the studio encountered a number of bugs than they expected during the last stages of development.

It seems like they've taken control of the bugs now, as the President of Sony's Worldwide Studios has confirmed that the game has gone gold. This means that the video game can finally meet their Dec. 6 deadline, according to Engadget.

The odd thing about Yoshida's announcement through Twitter is that his tweet was immediately removed. However, a new tweet seems to keep hold of the message. Yoshida has now confirmed the news on Twitter as he posted that he has been waiting for a very long time to say that "The Last Guardian" has gone gold. Yoshida also expressed his excitement for all the gamers to finally experience it, IGN has learned.

Anyway, the upcoming video game is a third-person perspective game that brings together action-adventure and puzzle elements. The video game follows a male character, played by the gamer, who is assigned to explore his world alongside a creature named Tico. Players of "The Last Guardian" will also have to earn Tico's trust and form a friendship with the character in order to level up in the game. It has been said that the game is based on Fumito Ueda's action-adventure video game "Shadow of Colossus."
