By

The long-rumored Google's combined Android and Chrome OS, dubbed as an Andromeda operating system, might finally be in the works. Leaks piling up on the internet stating that a hybrid OS called Andromeda could come with the new Pixel laptop and Huawei Nexus tablet from Google by the third quarter of 2017, if not sooner.

The big deal about Andromeda is that Google has maintained two separate OS for its devices, Chromebooks goes to Chrome OS and Android for Nexus phones and tablets. The operating systems have been moving toward more unity, as bringing Android apps in motion to select Chromebooks earlier this month.

But Andromeda would be a true hybrid of the two OS, unifying the operating system of Google-designed phones, as well as laptops and tablets, according to Forbes.

In a laptop form factor, as Google is planning a new Pixel laptop to be released in 2017, dubbed as Bison and the informal nickname of Pixel 3, will likely be the first brand-new device to showcase Google's Andromeda' operating system, Android Police reported.

The Huawei tablet which is rumored to have a Nexus branding, will be one of the two devices that the tech giant plans to launch with Andromeda OS, based on the report of 9 To 5 Google.

However, the senior vice president of Google on Android and Chrome OS, Hiroshi Lockheimer, hit on his Twitter account and stated that the tech giant could be getting ready for a big software reveal at its October 4 press event.

A reliable tipster also hit on Twitter and posted that the tech company's Huawei-built 7-inch tablet, with 4 gigabyte of RAM, is on track for release before the end of 2017.

On the other hand, as Google is just one week away from unveiling its newest smartphones, a clear image of one of the gadgets surfaced on the internet. The handset is supposedly called the Pixel, according to Venture Beat.
