Nvidia GTX 1050 Release Date, Specs Leaked: Pascal-Based Graphics Card to Beat AMD RX 470; Launch Soon?

Many gamers have put their hopes high for the GTX 1050 release. The pascal-based architecture is expected to have a cheaper price but more excellent than the RX 470.

GTX 1060 3GB and 6GB have been revealed earlier by Nvidia and AMD has also unveiled the RX 470 and probably waiting for the RX 490. Meanwhile, a leak that's gone viral suggest that Nvidia might launch a low-end graphics card soon, the GTX 1050.

Many sources have dubbed the GTX 1050 as the 'mid-range solution' for a graphics card. BenchLife leaks the feature by saying that it will 768 CUDA cores with 4GB of GDDR5 memory on 128 bit wide bus.

It will likely get base clock of 1316 MHz with the boost clock is expected to be beyond 1,400 MHz as reported by VideoCardz. The graphics card is said to have less power than GTX 1060 3GB variant. From the leaks, the GeForce GTX 1050 could have faster clockspeeds than GTX 950. The GTX 950 has a base clock of 1,024 MHz.

However, regardless of the specs, many gamers are doubtful whether the gaphics card could have a good performance compared to the already-available cards in the market from AMD.

Previous rumors suggest the release of GTX 1050 sometime this month but another source expects the launch in mid-October. This is because of the short of supply that forces the company to delay the release.

So far, the Pascal graphics card that Nvidia have released, aim at the high-end market. The GTX 1050 is highly expected to have lower pricepoint than the high-tiers or at least at about RX 460 pricing. Gamers who wish to upgrade their PC should wait for Nvidia's official statement.
