‘Microsoft Lumia 535, 640’: Revamped or Phased-Out; Microsoft Reveals Plan for Lumia Smartphones, ‘Surface Phones Specs’ Leaked!

By

Windows phone Microsoft Lumia with 535 and 640 as popular models have been facing tremendous breakdown when it comes to sales. Will this be the end of Lumia smartphones or Microsoft still had plans for a revamped amidst the rumors of Surface phones imminent launching?

Microsoft has never issued an official statement regarding the killing off Windows phone Lumia series. However, Yahoo speculated that the Windows maker company is on the verge of taking them down. One possible hint is when Microsoft failed to mention Lumia during the company's developer conference way back in March but Executive VP of Microsoft Terry Myerson said that the company will not focus on Windows phone for 2016.

On the other hand, amidst speculations of Lumia going down the spiral is the upcoming debut of Microsoft long-rumored Surface smartphones with tablet-like features and functions. There is not much information about the newest smartphones however; Express publication speculated that Microsoft has leaked their own product through Twitter.

Microsoft Australia Twitter account has accidentally leaked the Surface phones specs through a tweet. An alleged promotional image with caption "New One ins Surface Family" bearing the official Microsoft branding showed a dark smartphone in between Surface Book Laptop and Surface Pro 4 tablet.

As a result, netizens began to speculate the Surface Phones will be release next month. Another rumor suggested that newest Microsoft phone specs will include 5.7-inch touch screen display with 2k screen resolution, with a powerful Snapdragon 830 chipset for processor and a rear camera with 20MP resolution built with Carl Zeiss lens. In addition, what differentiates Surface phones from its nemesis Android and iOS is the keyboard cover which enables users to type the same with Microsoft Surface Pro.

However, when it comes to operating system, Windows 10 in mobile version has been recently caught in a debate whether or not it would be best to use in the smartphones.
