Aftermath a rumor that an employee accidentally revealed the release date of "The Last of Us 2," Naughty Dog's programmer and creative director, Neil Druckmann confirmed that the development of the survival-horror series "The Last of Us 2," should start after Uncharted 4's DLC finished. Voice actor of Ellie, Ashley Johnson, confirmed she wants to come back in the sequel.

"The Last of Us" was released in 2013, and it successfully topped charts in the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Japan, and Spain. It is no surprise why fans are waiting for the new generation consoles, and its sequel.

Apart from that, during a livestream, Josh Scherr, Eric Monacelli and Eric Baldwin of Naughty Dog were discussing about the "The Last Of Us." Scherr accidentally hinted some information about the survival-horror game, Frag Hero reported.

"All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here . . . and [on] the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?" Scherr said during the livesteam.

Some publication said the statement made by Scherr could be accidental or intentional so fans could crave more. Aside from that, Naughty Dog developer Michael Knowland revealed on his LinkedIn account that he has worked on "The Last Of Us 2" for at least a month.

Meanwhile, the voice actor of the character Ellie, Ashley Johnson said she is interested to work on the sequel, Game Rant reported. In a long statement released by a Californian voice actress, she said, "I feel like if they were to pursue it again."
