Lisa Kudrow 2016: Actress Is Smarter Than FRIENDS’ Phoebe Buffay With A Biology Degree

By

You know her as Phoebe in the long time running hit television show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. But did you know that Lisa Kudrow has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology?

Maybe you are trying to remember and can only recall her famous song titled "Smelly Cat."

"Smelly cat, smelly cat. What are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat. It's not your fault. They won't take you to the vet. You're obviously not their favorite pet." Sitcom fans can attest this is one of the best songs heard on television.

But Kudrow earned credits, according to Brit, on her father's study on headaches. Her dad was a doctor, too. Secretly, this is a bigger deal than "Smelly Cat."

Her academic achievements surpass that of Smelly Cat, no matter how good that song was. Born in Los Angeles, California, the actress was a daughter of a physician. Dr. Lee Kudrow specialized in treating headaches.

Lisa Kudrow started her education in Portola Middles School in Tarzana, California. She graduated high school from Taft High in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. She then moved on to get her higher education at Vassar College. At Vassar, she took her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

She intended to follow her father's footsteps and began researching on headaches. She worked as a staff under her father's practice for 8 years. At the same time, she also dabbled in acting. While dipping her feet into multiple acting roles, she researched on the comparative likelihood of left handed individuals developing cluster headaches. Her work on that research earned her credits.

Although she gained a world wide popularity for her role aa Phoebe Buffay in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and as Ursula Buffay in Mad About You, it cannot be denied that she is secretly smart.

In her tenure, throughout her career, she has received 10 Emmy Award nominations, 12 Screen Actors Guild nominations and a Golden Globe Award nomination. But still, everybody loves Phoebe.
