Leaked Benchmark Shows NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile Packs more Punch than Its Desktop Version

After unveiling the GeForce GTX 1070 desktop version, Nvidia is planning to release the M series but leaks of its benchmark before its launch, has become the talk on the web.

Previously, a source leaked the mobile GTX 1070 performance and revealed that the graphics card packs more power than its desktop variant.

The mobile GTX 1070 performance leaked days before its launch seems to be convincing enough with the source displaying the gaming results as well.

Collecting from different sources, the mobile GTX 1070 seems to have a better performance. A screenshot by Videocardz shows off the graphics card inside a laptop along with details of GTX 1070 benchmark.

The card features 8 GB GDDR5 with 8 GHz memory clock that pumps data through 256-bit bus. It gets more cores with its 2048 CUDA cores. A leak from Baidu also stated that it is 355 percent faster than GTX 960 M. Fudzilla wrote that in order to make it power-efficient, the GTX 1070 mobile is clocked lower.

Nvidia's Pascal architecture lets the system to be energy-efficient while more transistors can fit in. GTX 1070 desktop variant is crammed with 1,920 CUDA cores for heavy duty needs and it is quite an upgrade from the predecessor the GTX 970. It also receives an improvement in VRAM with the 8GB of GDDR5 memory.

The previous GTX 970 only gets 4GB. The GeFocr GTX 1070 is able to render a scene up to 16 different viewpoints. Such combination allows the graphics card to have more power for 4K and VR gaming.

Nvidia is expected to unveil the M series of GeForce GTX 1070 at Gamescom 2016 on August 17.
