Microsoft has collaborated with Amazon and Reglobe in a bid to offer the Surface Pro 4 at a discounted rate for a limited time.

The Microsoft Surface Pro powered by Intel Core M processor will be up for grabs for Rs. 58,890 (about $877) in exchange of their old laptops and tablets including iPad and MacBook, the Redmond-based tech giant said in a release Thursday, July 21.

Microsoft specified that the offer is not applicable on the Type Cover, which converts the tablet into Laptop.

Those interested in taking advantage of the offer have to purchase Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Core M from Amazon India and then provide their order ID along with specs and other details of the device they want to exchange with Microsoft's partner Reglobe's website.

As soon as the details are verified, consumers receives a notification on the exchange value of the old device based on partner's evaluation and an extra cash bonus of Rs. 20,000 (about $298), the company noted in its emailed statement.

Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 4 in India in January starting at Rs. 89,990 (about $1340). The company then teamed up with Amazon to sell the device exclusively for the first six months of its launch, NDTV Gadgets reported.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a Windows 10 convertible device that switches between a tablet and a laptop within the snap of a finger. It features a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a 2736 by 1824 pixels resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 also features 3:2 aspect ratios that match the larger dimension of the screen.

The discount offer is available only on Core m3 variant which packs 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, IndianExpress reported.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with an integrated graphics and weighs less than 1 Kg.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a Surface Pen which is one of its USPs. The Surface Pen is extremely versatile as a result of its inking capability.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a great laptop replacement, it is not fully mobile. Nevertheless, the device makes use of Windows Hello facial recognition feature for login and also supports Cortana digital assistant.
