PlayStation device owners will have to hold out for a while due to a big maintenance period for the PlayStation Network. They can still play some games with their device, but they cannot use some of its online applications.

PlayStation Network Maintenance Coming Soon

Sony has recently announced that they will be doing a round of PlayStation Network maintenance for a while. This latest maintenance period will start on May 23 and it will begin at 3 PM and hopefully it will end one hour later, if there are no big problems that they will encounter. The Sony game devices that will be affected by this maintenance will be the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation Vita, according to the official website of PlayStation.

What PlayStation Owners Can Do And Cannot

PlayStation patrons who have a PSN account can still sign in, play games, and use most of the applications during the maintenance period. The only applications and features that they will not be able to access during the period are the PlayStation Store, Account Management, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Music. The PlayStation Video will be limited during gaming and social interactions while using a device.

Sony Apologizes For Slight Inconvenience

Sony apologized for the short inconvenience that the maintenance might have caused for their customers. They explained that they want to ensure that the PSN services are in top condition at all times, which is why they must take it offline for a while to perform essential maintenance. They also want to implement feature enhancements to improve the services.
