Nintendo proudly announced that in April, the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console in the US. They also revealed that "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" was the best-selling video game hardware on that month as well.

Nintendo Switch Sells More Than 280,000 Units

The one thing that Nintendo is proud of right now is that for the month of April, the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling video game hardware in the US. It has sold more than 280,000 units nationwide, and this marks the second month in a row that it has gotten a lot of sales compared to other consoles in the market. With the combination of the Nintendo 3DS that has also sold more than 68,000 units, the console manufacturer has managed to make up almost half of all the hardware sales across the country, Dual Shockers reported.

"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" Becomes Top-Selling Video Game

For the video games in the month of April, it was from Nintendo as well. "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" became the best-selling video game of that month in the US with more than 460,000 physical units sold. With the sales of the digital copies, the combined sales go up to 550,000 units in that month alone.

The thing that is more impressive than the high amount of sales is the time it had for that month. The game was available in retail stores on April 28, which means that it only had two days for that whole month of sales.

Hybrid Console Gets "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2"

In other Nintendo Switch related news, the hybrid console will get "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" and it will first launch in Japan this coming fall. It will have new features that are exclusive to the console like Ad-Hoc Co-Op Play, the Ultimate Techniques with the Motion Sensor, and Two-Player Joy-Con Battles, Gematsu reported.
