British game developer Bulkhead Interactive have updated fans that their new WW2 based game, Battalion 1944 is now in closed alpha testing this coming May. This is a huge leap in their road as one of the rising indie game developers in the market, especially making this video game for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

After their previous partnership with Square-Enix on the development of the highly successful The Turing Test, the two companies are optimistic at this new war game title. Optimistically, Bulkhead aims to conduct their closed alpha testing in May 2017. Battalion 1944 was initiated by a kickstarter campaign and according to sources within the company, the project is still on tract.

Joe Brammer, Senior game producer at Bulkhead told Gamespot that they've had a lot of offers coming from big companies, but they chose to partner with Square-Enix. The feeling is mutual with Square-Enix as it highly praises the budding company and how they have all the characteristics of a promising game developing company. Square-Enix aims to help nurture the company while allowing Bulkhead to continue focusing on their creativity.

It has been a while since there was a World War 2 FPS game as Call of Duty and Battlefield have move on towards other periods. However, if Bulkhead will recreate the same creativity they've poured over The Turing Test, and with the support of Square-Enix, it might be a game that will catch the attention of the gaming community.

Bulkhead also stated that those who donated on Kickstarter and for those who helped made their project a seeming reality, will been given invites for the Closed Alpha testing of the game. Square-Enix is extremely optimistic on this project telling everyone how creative Bulkhead is and how they have the potential to create great games and how they listen to the community. Though the exact date of release for Battalion 1944 is not yet revealed, many will surely wait for this anticipated game.
