Renowned Japanese video game creator Hideo Kojima has praised Guerrilla Games for their outstanding works on Decima game engine. Kojima's upcoming open world title "Death Stranding" will be built on Guerrilla Games' groundbreaking Decima engine. The game engine is said to be capable of rendering amazing gaming stuff, something that has never seen before in the gaming industry.

Guerrilla Games And The Decima Engine

The Dutch-based Guerrilla Games is actually a subsidiary of the Japanese tech giant Sony and Kojima will be setting up a small satellite studio near the Dutch company office in Amsterdam, The Netherland.

As mentioned earlier in tech website Wccftech, Kojima has made some revamp to his Kojima Productions as an independent studio after his departure from Konami in 2015. Part of the big revamp is to seek for a good game engine that will be used in the development of the Kojima's open world action title "Death Stranding." Fortunately, he found the answer in the form of Guerrilla Games' Decima engine.

The two companies have decided to enter into tech partnership, which involved producing the title Death Stranding using the Guerrilla Games' Decima game engine.

Kojima Talks A lots About Decima Engine But Still No Words On Release Date

Kojima has made some good discussion about the upcoming title and the Decimal game engine. In a recent blog post on US PlayStation Blog, Kojima has talked a lot about Decima engine and also claimed that the Guerrilla Games' engine technology is a league ahead of the rest of the competition.

According to reports, Guerrilla's Decima game engine is said to be capable of producing amazing high fidelity visuals, something Kojima has been looking for.

"Death Stranding," which developed by Kojima Productions, will be using Guerrilla Games' DECIMA engine, the same engine that powered the PS4 exclusive title, the upcoming Sony's action RPG "Horizon: Zero Dawn" and first-person shooter game "Killzone: Shadow Fall."

In addition, Hideo Kojima also shared on Twitter some rendering samples running on the Decima game engine, showing to the gaming world what the Dutch engine is capable of.

At last year's Game Awards, the Japanese video game legend off a new teaser trailer for his upcoming cerebral title "Death Stranding."

"Death Stranding" is expected to reveal sometime next year.
