In a most peculiar crossover, "Cards Against Humanity" collaborated with "Mass Effect" developer BioWare to create "Mass Effect" themed expansion pack for the popular but highly offensive card game there is.

There are 14 brand new "Mass Effect" themed cards in the expansion pack, that are sold for a measly $1 within the U.S., which already includes shipping, according to MassEffectPack. Accordingly, the expansion pack is a limited edition. In a dose of "clean pun," it states that missing cards are to be sold later as DLC.

IGN reported that "Card Against Humanity's" collaboration with BioWare is their second co-branded expansion, but their first with a video game developer. The first collaboration it had was with Netflix's "House of Cards," also in a limited edition pack, which reportedly sold in less than 24 hours.

Three writers did scripting for the "Mass Effect" themed cards from BioWare, Karin Weekes, Ben Gelinas and Sam Maggs. The writers apparently started writing, just for fun, the same night during their meeting at the San Diego Comic-Con a couple of years back, Gamespot reported.

Sex sells apparently for BioWare writers after reportedly drafting more than 700 cards. "Card Against Humanity's" Trin Garritano, director of events, emotions and various promotions explained that each time they looked at the cards the "Mass Effect" team preferred, they all involved sex. Accordingly, the "Card Against Humanity" team had to push for a few non-sex cards in an apparent move to widen the appeal of the deck.

Admittedly, Garritano said that the remaining cards presented by Mass Effect" writers did not shy away from blue topics. Of the more than 700 cards the writers submitted, all but 14 were bad. Nonetheless, he said he is still tickled by the incredible problem brought to them.

Working with BioWare directly for the "Mass Effect" themed cards for "Cards Against Humanity" expansion pack did not mean they get to play "Mass Effect: Andromeda" ahead of the others. For that, they have to wait like the rest until the game's release on March 21.

For those interested in having their own copy of the "Mass Effect" themed "Cards Against Humanity" expansion pack, Garritano informs that the cards are limited and once they are sold out, they are done, forever.
