"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" gets a new release date on May 30 after being pushed back twice. It was also revealed that the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise would be playable in the game.

"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" allows up to four players to be part of a virtual bridge of a spacecraft from the successful Star Trek series. The game starts from the bridge of U.S.S. Aegis, according to Eurogamer. The bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise is now a playable feature in the game through the game's Ongoing Voyages mode, according to Ubisoft.

Each player in "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" has a role to play in its co-op multiplayer. The fun begins by players talking amongst themselves, which among the captain, helm, tactical and engineer they would want to play aboard the ship.

The object of the game is to explore an uncharted region of space called the Trench. The U.S.S. Aegis is loaded with cutting edge and unique technology; however, according to PC Gamer, it does not have the same hook and feel of the classic 1701, which is the ship serial of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701.

The creators deemed it important to include The Enterprise as part of "Star Trek: Bridge Crew," especially during the original Star Trek's 50th anniversary. According to Red Storm creative Director David Votypka, The U.S.S. Enterprise is an iconic part of the franchise, saying, it is the ship that started it all.

Meanwhile, "Star Trek" alums have tried playing "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" and they were ecstatic. LeVar Burton who played Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" said that if he could have imagined what he wanted the "Star Trek" VR game to be, this is it, he said.

Jeri Ryan who played Seven-of-Nine in "Star Trek: Voyager" said it is amazing and it was incredible. Karl Urban who played Dr. Leonard Horatio "Bones" McCoy in the movie franchise said it was truly an extraordinary experience.

Suffice it to say, the people who actually played roles in the "Star Trek" universe approves that "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" is a way to experience Star Trek in a virtual world.

"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" will be available on the PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift. The game will support Cross-Play, which means those playing on other platforms can still play together. "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" will also be available on Steam.
