It is confirmed that Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" is bringing the epic open-world of Tamriel to the Nintendo Switch.

Appearing on a late-night stream, Bethesda Game Works executive producer Todd Howard confirmed "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, Polygon reported. The game was given ample footage during the game console's video launch last October 20.

Howard said that he is excited to see "Skyrim" on a portable platform and also excited about the possibility of the partnership with Nintendo, adding, they are honored to be a part of it. However, he did not clarify which version of Skyrim will be on board the Nintendo switch. There is an enhanced version of the game that came out last year bringing the game to current-generation platforms that are equipped with graphical improvements.

"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" is six years old, but will it be enough aligning with Nintendo to get customers to buy the game again? Bethesda reportedly gathered all of the game's DLC and improved graphics in one convenient bundle. Another is to bring the game's PC mods to the console.

With the Nintendo Switch having only 32 GB of memory, those who would want to exploit the mods may have to purchase new memory cards. Accordingly, the Switch's internal memory can be expanded up to 2TB via micro SDXC. However, having customers pay extra for extra memory to have both the game and its mods could possibly turn players off, according to Game Rant.

"The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" is available for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Though no release date have been confirmed yet for the Nintendo Switch, it is speculated once they smooth the kinks out; it may be available for the Switch by fall this year.
