The good news is that 68-year-old "Game of Thrones" author, George. R. R. Martin is releasing a story this 2017. The Bad news is that it will not be "The Winds of Winter," not just yet.

Martin is coming out with a story in another book by the end of the year and it is not what fans have been anticipating for, well, not yet. He is reportedly part of an anthology book called "Book of Swords," which according to Metro, features works of 11 other writers and to be edited by his friend and collaborator Gardner Dozois.

According to Amazon, The book contains 15 original tales celebrating fantasy's golden age of sword and sorcery, including a story from George R. R. Martin set in the world of "Game of Thrones!" Martin and Dozois have worked together before reported Polygon, between 2009 and 2015, co-editing eight anthologies.

Meanwhile, not a few, who are followers of Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," are clamoring when the author will release the sixth book in the series "The Winds of Winter." As detailed in an earlier report, the author has made considerable progress for the book and it might come out within the year.

Though fans have already been burned by false news of the release of "The Winds of Winter," many have chosen to adapt a "wait and see" attitude. Many are saying not to ask the author anymore when is he coming out with the sixth installment of the "Game of Thrones" series, for there have been unsubstantiated claims that he kills off a Stark every time he is asked.

In 2013, Martin came out with "The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister," which contained the best and most humorous quotes from Tyrion Lannister. Apparently, Tyrion is the author's favorite character in the series. Since Tyrion is his favorite, we can assume "the imp" will live on until the seventh and the end of the book series, "A Dream of Spring."
