How would it sound if anyone could go "Dick Tracy" by speaking into the Apple Watch and ask Siri to get an Uber? The next iteration of Apple Watch's software might just be able you to do just that.

Apple Watch new features with watchOS 3.2

Aside from receiving and sending calls and text on the Apple Watch, a new version of Apple Watch's software will now allow anyone to talk to Siri using their smartwatch. The new feature is reportedly one of many enhancements Apple will introduce to the Apple Watch with the upcoming watchOS 3.2.

Communicating with Siri through the Apple Watch will allow users to interact with third-party applications, according to new developer documentation released by Apple last Tuesday. Users will now be able to grab an Uber, send a message using a chat application, and make payments in a feature called SiriKit, according to The Verge.

Having SiriKit on the Apple Watch will allow users to do the above and more, instead of whipping out their iPhone from their pockets or bags every time. Notably, SiriKit is already available on the iPhone and the iPad in the advent iOS 10, however, introducing the feature on the Apple Watch provides a more convenient and useful platform for seamless functionality.

Additionally, Apple Watch will also feature a new "Theater Mode" option that will mute all sounds as well as deactivates waking the watch when its wearer raises their wrist. Notifications can still be received through haptic feedback, the only drawback is that the user needs to tap the Apple Watch screen or press the Digital Crown to view the notifications, according to Digital Trends. Apple said the feature was actually introduced with watchOS 3.1.3 released recently; however, users say they found no trace of it.

The new watchOS 3.2 is yet to be released to developers, which means, no details are available when the new update will reach the public.

Apple Watch possible future feature

Apple was recently granted a patent that features a modular accessories system for the Apple Watch. The feature will disguise additional components to extend the Apple Watch's functionality by hiding said components within the links of the Apple Watch's bracelet.

Additional components like sensors, solar cells, batteries and more, can be conveniently and inconspicuously hidden within the Apple Watch metal band, Apple Insider reported.
