It seems as the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 draws near, leaks and speculations become a norm as consumers want to know what is hot and what is not. Samsung might be bowing out this year but another Korean company is not, LG has set February 26 as the date for unveiling it LG G6 flagship.

The Verge reported they were able to obtain the first live photos of the LG G6, which confirmed the upcoming flagship comes with a 5.7-inch display, which according to the report sports an odd 2:1 aspect ratio and emphasizing on minimal bezels. Accordingly, its screen-to-bezel ratio is 90 percent.

The good news about the LG G6 is that it is an incorporated phone, ditching last year's well performing but dismal selling LG G5. Indications point the LG G6 is made entirely out of glass and metal, a departure from plastic-coated metal the company used in its previous flagship devices.

Ditching LG G5's modular design means the LG G6's battery is non-replaceable, however not all design aspects of the G5 has been discarded. The LG G6 is expected to retain its dual-camera system and its fingerprint sensor. The unit is touted to be waterproof and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The LG G6, however, might have a Snapdragon 821 chip under its hood. Trusted Reviews reported that Samsung bagged the entire initial production of the Snapdragon 835 processors. Early rumors say the LG G6 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and feature wireless charging.

LG itself clued users in about the LG G6 when they posted a YouTube videos about user's wish list in what they want a smartphone should have. The list includes a big screen with a smaller body, waterproof, and a camera that can capture it all at once, reliable.
