Leaked live images of a Nubia-branded phone surfaced just recently showing back panels where one of the units is marked with the Nubia logo.

According to GSM Arena, the two back panels strongly resemble that of the ZTE Z11, except for one missing peripheral, a fingerprint sensor. Due this missing peripheral, it is speculated that either the sensor will be embedded in the under-glass of the front panel, or it might not have the sensor at all.

If the phone is indeed a ZTE in the Nubia line, it is more likely that a front-mounted sensor employing a Synaptics solution would be viable since the Nubia belongs to ZTE's premium lineup. Most premium handsets today incorporate sensors under-glass in their design. Additionally, ZTE is also the first company to feature bezel-less phones starting with the Z9 and its refracting glass.

If ever ZTE incorporates a front sensor in its alleged Nubia leak, it would become the first of its series and for the company to have a fingerprint sensor on the front. Additional details state that another image surfaced that illustrate the said Nubia phone does not have a physical Home button in the front but rather a fingerprint sensor circled by a red light to guide the user where the sensor is located, GizmoChina reported.

Reportedly, the phone has a metal body and with the custom Nubia logo at the back. The phone will come with a single lens camera with a LED flash by its side. Moreover, reports indicate that ZTE will be releasing a number of new mobile phones within the year.

Apart from the recently leaked live image of the unknown ZTE phone reported above, ZTE's marketing director Lu Qian Hao allegedly released a blurry image of what might be the company's first phone with a curved display on his Weibo weblog last December 2016 where says goodbye to 2016 and wished for a happy "boundless" new year.

It can be speculated from the image that ZTE might also come out with a phone with a curved screen in 2017, along with the launch of their recently certified units, the ZTE Blade A520 and the ZTE Blade A602.
