People are talking about "Powerless", the first DC comics inspired comedy series that will premiere on DC starting Feb. 2, 8:30 PM. In a new video from NBC, Van Wayne or B Dubs was introduced. He is the owner of Wayne Security, an insurance company that protects people from the damage caused by the superheroes that roam the city.

"Powerless" transpires in a world where superheroes roam the city to protect the average citizen from bad guys. Unfortunately, they cause damage to cars, buildings and other intellectual properties along the way. Wayne Security looks to manufacture items to prevent citizens from getting badly injured from the battles of superheroes since you never know when they might occur.

In the comics, Van Wayne was a rich kid who always cause problems for his cousin because of his bad attitude according to Entertainment Weekly. Based on the trailer of "Powerless", there is not much of a change in his character. Also, there will be several references to the Dark Knight.

According to Movie Pilot, Wayne Security is owned by Wayne Industries so Batman is basically profiting from the damage he and his friends cause the citizens to have in "Powerless." The company also change from being an insurance company to a place that makes gadgets that would protect them from superheroes.

"Powerless" stars Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke, Danny Pudi as Teddy, Alan Tudyk as Van Wayne, Atlin Mitchell as Crimson Fox, Christina Kirk as Jackie and Michael D. Cohen as Sameul Greene. The series is directed by Marc Buckland and Michael Patrick Juan. The writers are Ben Queen, Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.
