The docu-series "Making a Murderer" has captured the hearts of many viewers across the country. In fact, people are eager to knowwhat will happen next, especially the case involving Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, which is more likely to be featured in season 2.

Steven Avery Appeals, Says He's Innocent

Avery is still in the process of appealing his conviction trying to prove his innocence with the help of his new attorney, Kathleen Zellner. Attorney Zellener tries to prove his client's innocence by requesting for a test based on the evidence gathered and hopes that they will find out who is behind the death of the photographer Teresa Halbach, RollingStone reported.

Meanwhile, with "Making a Murderer" season 2 confirmed, viewers can expect that the new season will focus more on the evidence as per the Attorney General's Office's approval. Moreover, according to Netflix, season 2 will take an in-depth look at the post-conviction process, People reported.

Netflix also confirmed that details of the upcoming episodes are now under work by Ricciardi and Demos. The finale of the season 1 has left viewers hanging and craving for more details of the case, which forced Netflix to give the show another run, according to Travelers Today.

A look back

Before Netflix showed the docu-series "Making a Murderer," there were only a small number of people who knew about the show. But after the case was featured in a docu-series style, the show has gained so much attention that paved way for many viewers to get hooked and feel involved in the case. In fact, at least 500,000 viewers of the show have signed a petition requesting the court to pardon Avery and Dassey.

However, and unlike Avery, Dassey has been acquitted from the case after the court found that he was forced to confess. The judge ordered that Dassey be released from jail but the prosecution panel is blocking the order insisting that Dassey should remain in jail.

Viewers can also expect to see what will happen to Dassey in t"Making a Murderer" season 2.
