The latest iPhone 8 news reveals Apple is working towards having a regular physical SIM card and an electronic SIM card in the phone at the same time. It has never had a dual SIM phone so this is welcome news for long time Apple users.

Apple will never allow microSD storage on an iPhone since it would impact iPhone ASPs in a large way. According to BGR report, the good news is that, in related iPhone 8 news, USPTO Patent NO. 9521563 got awarded to Apple last Tuesday. The patentt describes it as a system, apparatus and method for controlling access to multiple antennas in mobile devices that have multiple SIMs. This proves Apple has been trying to find out what they can do with to improve this particular technology.

In another iPhone 8 news, Apple wants the iPhone 8 to appear like a single sheet of glass, according to a report by Express. There will also be no physical Home button and it has an OLED display coming with glass that curves and wraps around the smartphone. With the Home button eliminated, Apple is expected to extend the display of the phone up to the bottom of the phone so it can reduce the chunky bezels around the screen and shrink the overall footprint of the smartphone.

Apple has already been granted numerous US patents dating back to March of 2015 including one that is called ultrasonic imaging which is actually old iPhone 8 news. Since the iPhone 8 is expected to be like a piece of glass, this patent can be used to recognise a print through a glass display. It suggests that ultrasonic imaging is better than using a standalone fingerprint sensor like the one used in the Touch ID scanners of recent iPhones.

According to new iPhone 8 news, it is expected to hit stores late next year.
