Most fans will remember that the "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" will be coming out to North America next month in 2017. As such, Square Enix and Level-5 have released two new trailers that reveal the return of two memorable characters - Red and Morrie. Moreover, the source have pointed out that in an effort to further improve the franchise in the Nintendo 3DS, the company will be focusing on the game's main characters.

In the wake of a January 2017 North American release for "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King," it was reported that two new trailers were recently unveiled showing the return of new characters Morrie and Red, who both appeared in the original PS2 version, Siliconera has learned.

Albeit the characters the were never playable in the original version, it was said that fans can expect the two characters to join their party in their adventure in the Nintendo 3ds version of "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King."

It was further noted that Morrie Mozzarella runs the Monster Arena in "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King," while Red is a pirate and thief who is more than familiar with Yangus.

In other news, it was stated that the previous installment to "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" lacked the emotional pillar that would have served as the game's focal point, Techno Buffalo opined. As such, it was said that the eight installment to the franchise addressed that issue by focusing on the five main characters of the game.

Fans will remember that "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" is a role-playing video game that was developed by Level-5 and Square Enix serving as its publisher. It was initially released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2004 in Japan, and was later launched in North America the year after.

Almost a decade after, the developers of the game decided to release an Android and iOS version of the game back in 2013. "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" most recent iteration was a Nintendo 3DS release in Japan last year, and is coming to North America in January 2017.
