The CES 2017 kickoff in a few months ahead and gamers cannot wait for the release of GTX 1080 Ti. The rumors have built up since early this year and here are some of the updates.

GTX 1080 Ti will be VR-compatible and very fast?

A previous report suggests a faster graphics card than the GTX 1080 and a performance slightly below the Pascal-based GTX Titan X. From here, the gaming community can expect a top performance of Ti version.

The mighty GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be the cut-down version of Titan X but it will be capable of playing 4K games. Rumor has it that the card will rock hefty 3,328 CUDA cores with 1503 MHz base clock and 1,623 MHz boost clock, HNGN reported.

If rumors are to be believed, then it will be clocked higher than Titan X. It makes sense if it will have closer performance to Titan X than expected, as the latter is able to nail most of the 4K gaming (@60fps). Another report suggests that the GTX 1080 Ti will potentially have 12GB GDDR5.

GTX 1080 Ti to take on AMD Vega 10 card?

While both cards have not been introduced yet, the gaming community has assumed that the GTX 1080 Ti could compete head-to-head with the upcoming Vega 10 card from AMD that is rumored to be the Fury series. Gamers have also anticipate AMD graphics card, RX 490, which is rumored to be launched at the same event. GTX 1080 Ti to be introduced at CES 2017?

CES is the biggest consumer electronic tradeshow that will take place in Las Vegas in January 2017, Wccftech reported. Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huan will be delivering keynote during the show and of all the topics he would address, the tech crowd expects an introduction to GTX 1080 Ti.
