Did you know that Claire Danes was a psychology student before she made her acting career? The American actress started her acting career as Angela Chase in "My So-Called Life." And after that, her career soared with the addition of many more projects.

But one thing not a lot of people know is that she attended Yale University between 1998 until 2000. She only enrolled for two years. She took psychology as her major. However, she did not finish her higher education. Halfway through, KR CR Tv cites, she dropped her textbooks and never looked back. From then on, she pursued her on screen and stage career.

During her child hood years, she started studying dance. She even took dance classes from Ellen Robbins at the Dance Theater Workshop. In addition, she took acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute when she was ten years old. At nine years old, she knew she wanted to act. But she never forgot about dancing.

Danes was born in Manhattan, New York. At a young age, she attended P.S. 3 and P.S. 11 for her elementary school education. During junior high, she enrolled in the Professional Performing Arts School. She then attended the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies in New York City. Because they keep on moving, she also attended Dalton School for one high school year. During that year she worked on her role in "My So-Called Life."

Still, she continued to study. She graduated from the Lycee Francais de Los Angeles in 1997. With a recommendation from Director Oliver Stone, she attended Yale University. But two years later she dropped out of school.

Now, Claire Danes is known for her role in "Romeo + Juliet," "The Rainmaker," "Les Miserables" (1998) and "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." Since then, she has won two Emmy awards and two Golden Globes. She also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

It is not known whether she wants to return to Yale and pick up where she left off.
