Google is expected to roll out the next phones in its Nexus series this month. Rumors are rife that the search engine giant will get rid of the Nexus name and the phones will be dubbed as Pixel and Pixel XL, which are currently in the works with codenames Sailfish and Marlin.

While gadget freaks are waiting with bated breath for Google's next Nexus phones, acclaimed smartphone leaker, OnLeaks posted a rendered video to his Twitter account shedding some light on key specs of the Sailfish to Android Authority.

The video coincides with earlier leaks and speculations that hinted a sleek unibody metal design and a purported dark glass portion on the rear.

The device looks like the Nexus 6P from the front and features antenna lines at the usual spot. In terms of the measurements, the handset measures roughly around 143.8 mm x 69.5 mm x 7.3 mm citing its thinnest point i.e. the bottom and its 8.5 mm thick at the top making it about the same size as the Nexus 5.

Previous rumors indicated that Google is likely to follow the footsteps of LeEco and most recently, Apple's and ditch the regular headphone port, but fortunately it looks like that's not the case as the jack is clearly visible on the top/left of the frame in the leak. In addition, the rendered video also confirms bottom-firing dual speakers contrary to a front placement that some industry watchers expected, TechPP reported.

In terms of specifications, "Sailfish" is expected to sport a 5-inch full HD AMOLED panel. The device is likely to be powered by a 64-bit Quad-Core processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz - either a Snapdragon 820 or 821. The purported handset is said to pack 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 2770 mAh battery.

In terms of camera, "Sailfish" is rumored to come with a 12MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter with fingerprint scanner located at the back, and a USB Type-C.

The bulkier handset codenamed "Marlin, "on the other hand, is expected to come with a bigger screen, a robust battery in addition to an array of other awe-inspiring features.

Rumors are rife that Google is gearing up to debut both the phones - Pixel and Pixel XL - on October 4.

That being said, readers are advised to bear in mind that these are mere speculations based on recent leaks and hints coming from some reliable tipsters so take these rumors with a grain of salt until Google either confirms or debunks these speculations.
