Avid fans of the Pokemon series have been waiting with bated breath for the highly-anticipated role-playing games, "Pokemon Sun and Moon." While the games' official release date is still about a couple of months away, it looks like enthusiastic gamers are in for a treat earlier with the official starter evolutions courtesy of Nintendo.

A tweet sent out by Nintendo France on Friday, August 26 teased fans about the evolutions of starter Pokemon Popplio, Litten and Rowlet or "Otaquin," "Flamiaou," and "Brindibou"

The tweet translates to: what do evolutions for Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" look like, according to you.

The tweet ends with a winky face, which stirred conversations among zealous fans who wondered if the starter evolutions were coming soon. The tweet also made rounds on Reddit; while some redditors believed it was just a teaser; other redditors were not quite excited about the entire thing.

Rumors were rife about the final evolutions for starter Pokemon in the game a couple of months back. Although, this did not lead to any sort of frenzy in the beginning, but it eventually ended up as one of the most popular rumors after the Alolan forms were confirmed from the same group that publicized the final evolutions, Mobile&Apps reported.

If rumors doing rounds proved to be true, evolution of the three starter Pokemon namely Rowlet, Litten and Popplio, will be directly influenced by the time a gamer decides to evolve them.

The final evolution will have secondary properties based on when the evolution for each of the starter Pokemon took place. This makes them somewhat hybrid as well as adaptable depending on the trainer's playstyle.
It remains to be seen what impact time has on the evolution and what properties are going to be involved. "Pokémon Sun and Moon" is slated to hit the store shelves on November 18 for the Nintendo 3DS.

In other news, an accessory known as the Z-Ring warrants a completely different experience for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." It is released by TOMY International alongside the game, according to reports on GameNGuide.

The Z-Ring is meant to be worn while playing the game for an augmented 4D experience.
