Google Nexus Phone 2016 is still nowhere and the new dubious information seems to add up to the old rumors. A recent leak came from a developer who managed to 'go under the hood' and find that the new feature might not be a good thing.

Previously, the tech giant stated that Nougat-on-board devices will come with a feature that no other gets - that is - the seamless updates support. The good news is that it will enable your Google Nexus Phone 2016 to update entire system easily without having to reboot.

The bad news?

This feature might end up wasting the phone's internal storage. Online source, LlabTooFer, tweeted the 'curious fact' said that the upcoming HTC Nexus Phone will have double partitions. The developer also provided a screenshot image of the fact. It seems that LlabTooFer does not view this feature as a cool addition for the next Nexus phones.

Another thing that Nexus fans might not like is the partnership possibility with Verizon carrier which said to make 'many mistakes' in 2014. Detail report is available in UH News.

Google Nexus Phone 2016 specs

Online leakers seem to know much about HTC-built smartphones. The devices, with codenames Marlin and Sailfish, are said to come with 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage options. Australia Network News reported that Marlin will sport metal body whereas Sailfish will sport plastic material. Previously, PC Advisor revealed two speculations, one of them is that Marlin and Sailfish could be the codenames for HTC Desire series instead of the Nexus Phones.

Google Nexus Phone 2016 release date

HTC Nexus 2016 is expected to be released at the end of 2016 as the Nougat update is finally rolled out a few days ago. The high-end devices will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Meanwhile, the first smartphone that comes with Android Nougat right out of the box is already confirmed by LG. LG V20 will be shipped sometime in September, GSM Arena reported.

Google keeps its lips tight about the upcoming handsets and fans should wait and see how this Nougat feature goes.
