The episodic point-and-click graphic adventure video game - "Minecraft," is heading to the virtual reality system Oculus Rift next week.

The news about "Minecraft" heading to Oculus Rift came from a tweet made by Mojang's Tommaso Checchi.

The Swedish video game developer confirmed their plans last month to enable support for the virtual reality system, in which it gives Minecraft players a whole new perspective on their most loved video game, based on the report of PC Mag.

But, the plan for the Oculus Rift was supposed to happen with the launch of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta version 0.15.6, which is already up for grabs.

Mojang's Checchi on Twitter acknowledged that in a way that they expected, the promised dates changed, instead, the Rift support will be available next week. But, the Twitter post did not corroborate as to exactly when that will happen, either way, Minecraft fans only have a few more days to wait.

However, for those individuals who own Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and an Oculus Rift, they can engage right into the game. The "Minecraft" player will just log into their Mojang account and click the redeem button for free access. The Rift version of "Minecraft" assures familiar features like the game's multiplayer, Creative as well as the Survival gameplay modes.

The Swedish video game programmer Notch Persson first floated the idea of on the Oculus Rift version of "Minecraft" nearly four years ago, but the Minecraft creator canceled the project after Facebook purchased Oculus. Fortunately, Microsoft retrieved the project after it bought Mojang for $2.5 billion, Engadget reported.

On the other hand, the "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" is the only premium mobile game among the 50 top-grossing apps in the United States. While the rest are free-to-play games, according to Gamasutra.
