Previously, Battle.net servers suffered DDoS attacks which includes "Overwatch", "Hearthstone", and "World of Warcraft". Recently, Blizzard announced that the attack has ended.

Blizzard Entertainment posted updates with regards to the latency issues experienced when connecting to Battle.net after they received reports of login issues. The DDoS attack affected all games that are accessed using Battle.net and this includes "Overwatch", "Hearthstone", and "World of Warcraft", Gamespot reported.

Now, Blizzard Entertainment posted an update on their Twitter account saying that the attack has ended and that the players can now log in on their Battle.net accounts. Furthermore, they said that they are no investigating reports of World Server Down in the "World of Warcraft"

However, there are still comments from saying that they still experienced being kicked out of the game. Others also complained that the voice servers are not working.  A player even asked for a refund in the comment section of the Twitter update.

The Blizzard network engineers has been working on the problem immediately after the attack was confirmed. They acted as quickly as possible to resolve the problem, according to a post by a Blizzard Entertainment representative on Battle.net forum.

The hacking group who claimed responsibility for the attack was called PoodleCorp. The same group claimed the attack on "Pokémon Go" servers previously. Now, the group are getting hate comments in their Twitter post.

Enraged players are furious on the group. According to a comment on one of the Twitter posts by PoodleCorp, the group allegedly used bots on the game and were banned.

The DDoS attack came after the big update for "Overwatch" to celebrate the upcoming Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The update includes new skin mods and cosmetic items. Also, the update added the new Lucioball, a limited-time mode. "Overwatch" updates will remain available only until August 22.
