"Final Fantasy XV" is without-a-doubt set to be a hit on several grounds. While the upcoming RPG, coupled with the ongoing anime series strike a perfect combination that fans seem to be enjoying, it's time for "Final Fantasy" fanatics to gear up for the next piece of puzzle, "Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV," an animated movie that paves the way for the game.

To help viewers prep up, a sleek new trailer has been rolled out:

Things didn't quite work out well for Square Enix as their last motion picture, "The Spirits Within" wasn't well-received by fans and it almost destroyed the company. Having learned their lesson, the studio is only taking calculated risk with its latest "Final Fantasy XV" universe-based feature, CinemaBlend reported.

For starters, unlike "Spirits" which was basically detached from the series, Kingsglaive is directly linked to an actual "Final Fantasy" game. In addition, gamers can anticipate an array of battles, swords, monsters, et al instead of alien-ghost-things that abduct peoples' souls.

But that's not all. The aforementioned "Final Fantasy XV" movie will get a theatrical release here in North America, while Kingsglaive is slated to launch nationwide on August 19 in select theaters. Surprisingly, the Japanese theatrical release for the movie took place on July 9.

Audiences will be treated to the CG movie's star-studded English-language voice skill for the first time.

"Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul stars as Nyx, an affiliate of a magic-wielding royal guard dubbed, Kingsglaive who has to safeguard an oracle named Lunafreya, voiced by "Game of Thrones" actress, Lena Headey. Game of Thrones' Sean Bean portrays the role of King Regis, father of Noctis, the game's main character, Engadget reported.

The film will be up for grabs as a digital download on August 30 and on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 4. Kingsglaive is also part of "Final Fantasy XV Deluxe and Ultimate Collector's Editions," which is slated to hit the shelves on September 30.
