Microsoft is working on releasing a new surface device. However, the American multinational conglomerate has no confirmation yet on whether the device to be released is the rumored and much anticipated Surface Phone or not.

Indian app developer Shuban Chembukar took to his Twitter account a post indicating that Microsoft is working on a number of Surface devices, The Verge reported.  However, no further details or Microsoft Surface phone information are disclosed regarding what type of devices they will be.

A Microsoft's 88 building tour by Chembukar revealed that he saw a Microsoft wall dedicated to all the devices the company released. It includes a placeholder for the current Microsoft Surface Book, Microsoft Surface Pro 4, and the updated Microsoft Surface Pen. There were also intriguing placeholders for 2016 and 2017 that are captioned Coming Soon.

Following the tweet, the fans became more sure that Microsoft is working on a Microsoft Surface Phone.

Microsoft Surface Phone rumors say that the smartphone will have the latest Snapdragon 821 with 20MP Carl Zeiss primary snapper and a Windows 10 operating system. Although no solid details have been released about Microsoft's upcoming Surface Phone, it is said to be offered in three variants.

The Microsoft Surface Phone variants will be Basic, Advanced, and Pro, The News Independent reported. The Microsoft Surface Phone may be released by the third quarter of 2016 or Spring of 2017.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is said to be releasing an all new Microsoft Surface 2-in-1 device. The 2016 placeholder is believed to be an indication that the company is preparing to reveal a Microsoft All-In One PC, which is an alternative device for Microsoft Surface Book 2. The company is set to launch an AIO PC to further its Microsoft laplet series success in delivering 2-in-1 devices to the consumer market. AIO PCs worldwide shipments, according to experts, will drop to 12 million units only, from  its14 million 2015 shipments.
