Although Apple has opted to remain mum regarding the much-awaited iPhone 7, rumor mills have not ceased churning news and speculations around the purported smartphone.

Its been quite some time since Apple launched the iPhone 6 and avid fans have been waiting for the latest smartphone from the Cupertino-based tech firm with bated breath.

Citing its popularity and the excitement that surrounds the launch of an iPhone, its not at all surprising that several tech publications are already hinting the iPhone 7's release date.

If rumors proved to be true, the highly-anticipated smartphone will finally hit the shelves sometimes in August this year, but China has already debuted a fake iPhone 7 in the market.

The iPhone 7 has been the target of several rumors in the last few months, specifically regarding its design, omission of the headphone jack as well as color options. Most of the rumors and leaked images that surfaced online hinting how the phone could look like when it finally releases are all part of the fake iPhone, Gazette Review reported.

Popular iPhone tipster Sonny Dickson revealed images of the fake iPhone 7. Although Apple has not divulged too many details of the purported smartphone, the company behind the fake versions unveiled a phone that encompasses everything from leaked images to rumors.

Nevertheless, the leaked pictures of the iPhone 7 "Designed by Taiwan" and "Made in China" are not disappointing, in fact, the smartphone looks quite good.

What's even more impressive is that the smartphone boasts a dual-lens camera and is running Android Lollipop - which is not even the newest version of Android. It's not surprising though as previous fake phones has run other mobile OS.

The fake iPhone 7 is housed in a pink-gold metal body and interestingly sports an Apple logo in the back, Value Walk reported.

On closer inspection, it is clear that the fake iPhone 7 is a carbon copy of the phone seen on the leaked images, particularly on the outside. However, figuring out that its not the original iPhone 7 is a piece of cake.

The fake iPhone 7 does come with a headphone jack, which has been the subject of several rumors surrounding the iPhone 7's design.

Apple has neither confirmed nor denied the removal of the headphone jack and experts are unsure if the popular tech firm will actually eliminate the headphone jack or not.

In the last few weeks, rumors have run rampant that the rumored iPhone 7 would be a stodgy upgrade and that the enhancements will come in the next version. However, with so many rumors surrounding the launch of iPhone 7, it looks like fans would have to wait and see what Apple finally announces.
